Cream Eye Shadow Refill

Kjaer Weis Cream Eye Shadows are made for fingertips. One dab, the warmth of the skin softens the cream, and the colour glides smoothly over the lid. The texture shows that Kirsten Kjaer Weis is a make-up artist: velvety, densely pigmented, quick to blend, and it stays out of the crease. Want more intensity? Simply build it up rather than starting over.

The base is coconut, castor and sunflower oil, bound with beeswax, carnauba and candelilla wax, plus green tea extract. The newer shades Luminescence and Enticing also contain olive oil and yam root extract. A large share of the raw materials is organically grown, and CCPB certifies the shadows as organic cosmetics. Because of the beeswax they are not vegan, and some shades contain carmine.

The refill fits the Kjaer Weis Iconic Edition metal compact or the paper Red Edition. Once the colour is used up, only the pan is replaced; the compact stays.

The shades

Illuminated is an iridescent rose gold, Luminescence a peachy pink with a pearl sheen. Both work alone across the whole lid or as a point of light at the centre over a deeper shade. Golden leans warmer, towards peach gold. Alluring is a medium gold with light-reflecting shimmer, the classic choice for evening.

Sublime is a dark, smoky green, Enticing a deep, versatile blue. Both can be worn as a fine line along the lashes or across the entire lid. Softly blended with a fingertip, they are far more wearable than they look in the pan.
